We proudly introduce Mr Gerhard Smith who has been appointed onto the IWBF African Council as the Projects Development Officer and included in his portfolio will be  Website and e-Learning development programs, as well heading the 3×3 Development Program.

Mr Smith is a former FIBA Referee and represented South Africa as the National Team Manager and sits as a Director of High Performance and Coaching for Wheelchair Basketball South Africa.

He is a Marketing Manager, Sports Administrator and Website Developer by profession and will assist the High- Performance Department for Elite Athlete and Coaching Development.

His 35 years of basketball experience and knowledge in both running and wheelchair basketball, qualifies him in taking up this post. We welcome Gerry to our IWBF African Family
