General Info

About Me

I am passionate about the Sport of Wheelchair Basketball!

I have come from a Running Basketball background having been a player and a referee.

I am proud of the fact that when I was awarded my FIBA Referee License in 1996, at that stage I was the youngest FIBA referee in World at that stage.

I have been involved in Basketball for 35 years, and my good friend Charles Saunders introduced me to Wheelchair Basketball about 15 years ago.

I moved over to Sports Administration in 2016 with my position as Head of Marketing for Wheelchair Basketball South Africa.

I served a Team Manager for the Senior Men, Senior Women, and U23 South African National Teams, and eventually I was appointed onto the Board of Directors for Wheelchair Basketball South Africa as the Director of High Performance and Coaching.

I am developing both WBSA’s and IWBF Africa’s Online Learning Platforms, as I am passionate that we develop Africa, so that we can rightfully compete at World events and not just participate.

I am excited for the challenge of Developing the 3×3 Program for IWBF Africa and look forward to seeing this grow!
